Recommend your officiant

We are going to have a non-religious ceremony. I'd like an officiant who can make it interesting, funny, and personal. I know we could get a friend to marry us but I like the idea of professional running the show. Any recommendations?

My daughter used Roger Moore and we all thought that he had a great sense of humor.  He let the couple choose how much or not for the religious aspect of it.

We're using Heather Rose. She's non-religious, super friendly and will cater to what you want. She's willing to give the two of us (painfully shy) a 10-15 minute ceremony, and she thinks it's awesome that we're having our dog involved (which, really, requires a sense of humor). She'll do an interview and all that with no payment necessary. However, she's currently on bed rest due to pregnancy complications, so until her child is born in April, you have to meet her at her home.

Not sure if he's still doing weddings or not, but back in the day (2007-2008 ish) Carl Clapp was highly recommended on this board as an officiant.

We've just picked Carroll Myers to officiate our wedding and he is so great.  He's fun and funny and didn't bring up religion or try to make the ceremony anything but what we want it to be.  Good luck!

We're learning more in this gal's direction too. Right now it's too early for us to choose, but after looking at all of the officiants who had online sites in the area, hers seems to be the most organized and straight forward. I know you can't judge a book by it's cover, but I found that highly comforting. Also, she had a saying we want to use in one of her example ceremonies, so that helped too :)

Her site was one of the things that drew me to her, as well. I'm marrying a graphic designer and it's crazy how fast you start to judge people by their sites. Shitty website? Moving on!
