Rough Estimate

Trying to budget and guestimate how much is "average" to spend on the following things.  If you don't mind telling me how much you spent or have budgeted that would be great.  Also, if you got a great deal tell me who gave it! TIA

below are our costs.  I wouldn't say we got any deals, but we were comfortable with all the costs.  I hope it helps!

    Cake/Cupcakes:
Cupcake Station in Birmingham, about $650 for 300 cupcakes (does not include delivery - we are picking them up

    Flowers:
Modern Day Floral in Grand Rapids, about $700 for 4 bouquets, 7 corsages & 11 boutonnieres (again, no delivery included, we are picking up)

    Centerpieces:
I put these together myself....sand, seashells and tealights in a shallow glass bowl.  best guess is $9/each ($5 glass bowls, $3 for sand, and then 1 bag of tea lights ($5-ish) and 1 bag of shells ($5-ish) for all 22 bowls)

Cake/Cupcakes: Not sure yet, but getting a small cake at Sweetheart Bakery through my son's friend, and buying 2 sheetcakes at Costco for $16.99 each to be cut in the back room.

Flowers: Bouquets/bouts/corsages from Costco around $400 with some additional add ons, roughly $500

Centerpieces: Making these with a bunch of stuff I got at Michael's in Sterling Hts when they went out of business, 90% off, local florist went out of biz, got silver bowls & circular vases on sale. Probably $300 with the flowers from Costco.

Cake: haven't booked yet.  I'm budgeting no more than $300.  I plan to meet with two different bakeries that I found within my budget this month so we'll see how that ends up tasting.

Flowers: $400.  We got our bouts free.  That's for 5 bridesmaids bouquets, my bouquet, a flower girl pomander, and flowers for our cake

Centerpieces: Included in the $400 above.  Not including candles, which I will need to purchase later.  I'm estimating I'll probably pay around $50 for candles.

ETA: flowers might end up being a little more if we add on corsages for the moms and grandmas, but last I checked my mom didn't want anything like that so we'll see if she changes her mind later.

5 tier buttercream cake from Milford Baking Company- $525 not including flowers I used to decorate cake- They will decorate for you at no extra cost, I just decided to go with flowers. Fondant will cost more. (they don't do fondant)

    All Flowers including centerpieces- $2300.
This included center pieces for 26 tables and head table-
4 BM bouquets and 1 bridal bouquet,
    17 corsages and boutonnieres
2 large flower displays for Ceremony
8 medium flower displays for cake table, gift table, place card tables etc
and flowers to decorate my cake, and extra flower petals. (See PIP below)
All done by florist. Happiness is...a little Flower Shop, in Farmington Hills.

Flowers can get VERY expensive, depending on how extravagant you want to get. But you can also keep it very simple if you're on a tight budget.

Cake/Cupcakes: We like pie better, so we went with Achatz Handmade Pie Co. and are paying $285 for 23 pies (serves approx. 180 people + we are renting stands for a $200 deposit, which we will get back after the wedding)

Flowers: I am ordering sunflowers from Costco. You get 150 stems for $130. That should be enough for my centerpieces and bouquets. I plan to also make my own bouts and corsages with them...maybe I'll order 150 and another 80 to be safe, which will cost about $250 with taxes and shipping.

Centerpieces: I bought these http://www.wholesaleflowersandsupplies.com/store/p/2220-4-1-8-Tall-Silver-Compote.html for $150 (including shipping). I plan to get votives from: http://www.candle4less.com/candleholders_2/Votive-Candle-Holders_2/votive-specials (2 orders = $105 including shipping)

Our cake was included in our reception package, so I'm not sure what the ala carte cost is for it. But, my flower cost is in my bio under vendors.

Cake is coming from Sweet Dreams Bakery in Warren. They were running a special $1 per slice but they have other good deals.

Flowers & GIfts By Renee' in Dearborn was very reasonable to me. We are getting 18 centerpieces, tall and short, my bouquet, 13 bouts, 10 corsages, 5 BM bouq, 2 large altar arrangements with the pillars, they are decorating my pews with netting and bows, flower girl baskets and petals, aisle runner, head table centerpiece, candles on all the tables, flowers for cake table, AND we're getting our chair covers from them and all of that was.......$1700....I thought that was very inexpensive for all those things. Plus they deliver!

    Hope that helps!

I don't have any pics right now....I hope to have some after Saturday!!

Cake/Cupcakes: we used Sorella's in Livonia. We are doing cupcakes with a 6 in cake on top. The cupcakes are $1.50 per cupcake and that includes frosting and mousse in the middle. I paid about $400 for cupcakes.

Flowers and Centerpieces: Bakman Florist in South Lyon. I personally feel like I got a great deal from Brian. Included in our price was my bouquet, 7 BM bouquets, 10 bouts, 4 flowers for the mothers/grandmothers, 26 tables with various flowers (each table is a different flower name and the table will have that flower as the centerpiece), 5 votives per table, pilsner vases, votives for the fireplace, 2 arrangements for the church that will double as arrangements at the reception, flower petals for the cake table, and pew cones for the church. The final total was $1366.

    Cake/Cupcakes:
We are getting our cake from Elite Sweets in Livonia.  We are doing a 3-tiered cake to serve 150 people and one or two sheet cakes.  It will be about $600 to serve 300 people.  Including delivery, set-up, etc.

    Flowers:
We are paying a total of $1,800 for all our flowers.  About $800 of that is bouquets, bouts, corsages, etc.  The other $1,000 is for centerpieces for 25 tables.

    Centerpieces:

Kendra, below is what the center pieces look like.  I added a bit of blue sand, because I thought it looked to white without.  you could easily do colored tea lights or something, I was just worried about having 66 scented candles lit at once.  :)

    Centerpieces came from Vivianos  :)

I think we're just going to put our bouquets in vases for the head table. Saves $$! haha

    As for mine...

Cake is 2-tier with sheet cakes in the back. Serves 100. We are paying $150. If we get more RSVPs than we were expecting, it may increase a little. We are using Christine's Bakery in Shelby

Flowers: With the centerpiece flowers (vases are separate), bouts for 8, bouqs for 8, corsages for 6 ladies i think it's about 500. We are using Village Florist of Romeo for the flowers.

Centerpieces: The flowers are included in the flower price. We're alternating between the floating flower with stones and tealights and  then a square vase with 3 flowers. Vases are about $4-5 each and tea lights were 4.99 for a box of 12.  (Michaels)

We didn't buy flowers for our captain's table.  We used vases (from the Dollar Tree - I frickin love that place!!) to put the bouquets in and lots of different candles.  I thought it turned out nicely and definitely way cheaper than buying more flowers.  Here's a pic:

We lucked out and DH's grandma made our cake.  She's amazing!  She's 83 years old and bakes cakes as a hobby.  I love her!!!  Here's a picture:

Flowers - April Oboza of April Irelynn Designs:  We had 1 bride bouquet, 6 BM bouquets, 8 bouts, 5 corsages, 20 centerpieces, cake table petals, memory table flowers, and toss bouquet.  Flowers were hydrangea, 2 kinds of roses, and ranunculus.  We paid about $950 for everything.  (We also got a refund check from our venue to cover the centerpieces because it was part of our package with them...so we really only paid $470 for our flowers, but that's irrelevant to this thread.)
