With tight budgets and tight schedules, some of you may be looking for something different for a South Carolina honeymoon. I'm a MOB who just spent a couple of days in Georgetown, SC. I'd never been there and I'm impressed. The town has an historic waterfront - nice boardwalk on the harbor with all kinds of boats on one side and restaurants, shops and museums on the other.Very romantic at night. If you like history, or boating/fishing, you might enjoy this area. You can take several historic tours, visit museums, boat tour to LIghthouse Shell Island, fish or take a charter fishing boat, and Pauley's Island/Litchfield Beach is only 15 minutes away. Great seafood restaurants here too.
