got engaged Sat.....now what??? :)

Just got engaged on Sat. and am beyond excited!!!  Now the planning starts....yikes!  My fiance and I don't want a traditional wedding....we are going to try and do something smaller / intimate - 60 people max.  Looking for a venue to host ceremony and reception....important to us is great food, great cocktails/drinks and an intimate atmosphere.  Don't want a big ballroom style, no dancing, etc.  Any cool/different ideas?

    set a date first which will either be by finding the venue of our dreams and when it is available setting the date. OR you two pick a date you like and then finding a venue that is available that date.

    First off - CONGRATS!  And enjoy the planning :).

    I would say select a date and start your guest list - some venues would be more appropriate for a 60 person guest count vs. 150 person guest count.  Also it's great that you are thinking about the style wedding you want - that will help when you start looking at venues. 

    After we had a date/venue than I started looking into the big vendors and went from there.

    If you are planning on doing a summer or fall wedding, Fucci's Photos has the following openings:
