I took mine to Courtesy Gown Preservation.  It's super expensive though as this is what they do.  Mine will cost $300 to have it cleaned and another $75.00 to preserve it (basically put it in a box they provide).  It really depends on how detailed your dress is, what material and how much beading is on it.  That's how they determine price.  Otherwise, you can take it to Careful Cleaners, who also do a great job, but they will be expensive too.  Courtesy Gown is on Avenue Rd.  http://www.courtesygown.com/

I went to Sketchly (well my mom did) and the cleaning and preserving was $300. They put my dress in an air tight box so that dust doesn't ruin my dress. It's worth the cost if you want to save your dress.

I would say go to courtesy gown preservation. When I bought my dress the stylist told me that I should take it there because they are one of the best in the biz. You don't want to ruin your dress especially if you purchased an expensive one.

Lucky for me i got 50% off for the cleaning because i bought my gown at a sample sale. I mean I dont know how much it would cost to clean it but the discount helps.

I bought my dress second hand (at The Brides Project) and used the cleaner that they recommended - Grace Gown Care http://www.gracegowncare.ca/ - to get it cleaned before my wedding. It cost about $100, which was pretty reasonable compared to other prices I've heard. It says on their website that they do preservation as well, but I don't know how much that costs so I can't help you there.

Sure.  Mine is a Barbara Allin design from Beckers Bridal.  The whole thing is french lace and then silk underneath.  There was only a tiny bit of beading around the waistline.

    Hope that helps!
