I just received a phone call from Glamour Me Studios that I won a prize. "But I didn't enter a contest," I replied. Apparently, as a marketing tool, this photography company takes names from the knot and Macy's registries to enter into this contest. As the girl explained on the phone, they don't advertise in bridal magazines where the girls are only looking at gowns. So, they have this contest where they offer a free engagement shoot and 2 nights in a hotel in the hopes this will entice people to consider their services. Apparently they pull 3000 names from the knot and Macy's (and those who entered directly on their site), and choose 50 winners. And I was one of them? Without even entering? Does anyone know anything about this? It seems too good to be true!
