Welcome Party ideas

Hi!  We are planning a September destination wedding in Charleston and all of our guests will be arriving from Ohio on the Friday before.  We would really like to invite everyone to a welcome party that night instead of having a smaller rehearsal dinner.  Others have suggested Southend Brewery as a possible location.  This seems nice, but I was wondering if anyone could think of any other locations?  We are looking for something in the downtown area that is pretty informal and could accomodate up to 70 people.  We don't want to do anything big and expensive, maybe just heavy appetizers and a couple drinks at a fun place.  Any thoughts are greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

You could do it at Market Pavillion's rooftop bar, or the Rooftop Bar at Vendue Inn.

We are also having a destination wedding in Charleston this May. All of my family is coming from Ohio as well! We wanted the same, something informal, casual lets say meet and greet, not a formal sit down dinner. So we rented the banquet room @ Sticky Fingers in downtown Charleston. It has the hardwood floors, exposed brick walls and a small rooftop terrace. We are having heavy apps and beer and wine. The room deposit was 500. Hope this helps :)
