Marriage License, Again

Do You know if there is a minimum time in which you need to hold a marriage license? I.E. If I get mine 2 weeks before our wedding, will it still be good?

There is no minimum time. You could get it today and get married tomorrow. The maximum time that it is valid is 3 months, like Littlin said.

On a different but related note, different cities / towns charge different prices for the marriage license.  Requirements as to what documents you have to present are also slightly different depending on where you go.  It might help you save a few bucks if you do a bit of research!

    Good luck!

    Question:

So I am clear, when I go to the marriage license office and pay the fee, they give me the license right away?  I don't have to wait 4 weeks like with my passport to obtain it???
