Theme Bridal Shower

I found out last week, a neighbor of my parents has offered to throw me a bridal shower. We talked on the phone this morning and she threw out the idea of a themed shower. What has been your favorite theme of a shower you have been to or had as a bride yourself? Color? Room? TIA

[QUOTE]If this neighbor isn't invited to the wedding you probably should decline. The closest thing to a themed shower I've been to was my sister's. It was December for a January wedding. There were a few snowflake type things around. But absolutely not overboard with the winter thing.

I recently went to my friend's shower which was Disney Villains themed. That probably is suited if you love Disney which she did. Another one I went to was a Pantry Party theme. Guests bring recipes or items that you will most likely need in your pantry. One woman brought the recipe for her family's cake and included all the necessary ingredients in a Tupperware container!

I am throwing a Frog Prince themed bridal shower for my BFF and I found the most wonderful products at a site called The Rosemary Company. They have the cutest frog prince centerpiece that also doubles as a stand for the bridal shower favors. I love the fact that they also show some recipes and have frog prince games. I'm doing up my own invitations, but they have frog prince invitations and thank you cards too. I am soo glad I found this site

I think it's a great theme and I'm debating making it coed. They also have a lots of other theme ideas.

I hate it when the gifts are supposed to be themed. I hosted my niece's shower this weekend and we did a mexican theme with enchiladas, margarita punch, sangria, refried beans, fruit salsa with cinnamon chips. The decorations were understated but there. It went very well and was received well by the bride and her guests.
