Self Solemnization/Photographer

We are planning on getting married in Colorado and taking advantage of the Self Solemnization laws that they have in this state. Does anyone have any experiance or knowledge of this law? I have done research and been in contact with the CO government but haven't gotten a TON of information.

Since we are planning on doing the ceremony ourselves, I am wondering how I should go about getting a photographer. I would like to capture the moment even though there won't be an officiant there...does this make sense?

While we aren't inviting anyone to our "destination" wedding - we still want to have pictures and memories of our very special day together!

Any help would be great! :)

Thank you!

Re: Self Solemnization/Photographer

  • I imagine you'd just book a photographer as you normally would. Ask the Colorado board for recommendations.

  • I don't know why you wouldn't just book a photographer, regardless of the officiant situation.
