  I'm originally from NE Ohio but I live in FL now with my fiancee, I'm getting married in July of 2012 in NE ohio and I'm looking for a venue for my wedding. I would LOVE a barn location or even an old schoolhouse. Does anyone out there know any places?? I need all the help I can get PLEASE!!

  Some rustic locations to consider, depending on how many guests you have in mind...
  Hale Farm & Village in Bath
  Conrad Botzum Farmstead (barn) in Bath
  Spring Mist Farms Goodyear Barn in Brunswick
  Skyview Lodge (lodge-style building) in Brunswick
  Mapleside Farm (indoor reception area on an apple orchard)
  Orchard Hills party center (onsite at Patterson fruit farm) in Chesterland
  Great Hall at Happy Days in the CVNP (Peninsula), very rustic lodge
  Heritage Barn in Stow (near Akron)
  
  Most of these are for smaller guest lists, except Skyview can hold I think 250 and Heritage holds around 200. Good luck!

  I would start making phone calls to see if these spaces are available for the date you want now.  I began looking at venues in January and some were ALREADY almost fully booked for June and July 2012.

  
  

  The lists above are good.  I know Walsh University also has a "log cabin" pavilion that can be enclosed in the case of inclement weather.  I don't really know much about it other than that, but it might be a good place to look into.

  
  

  Also, the Geneva area has a ton of wineries that could work.  I don't have a full list, but if you google wineries near geneva, ohio...you should be able to find a bunch you can contact

  Im having mine at berkshire hills country club in chesterland....the hall is an old barn that was made intto a has high valted ceilings. the pic are from my visit

  I live in Canton, Ohio and Gervasi Winery is GORGEOUS! Unfortunately, we are having a larger wedding (around 250) and they hold comfortably 150-200 max. I would definitely look into it!
