New September 28th bride!

Good evening ladies--we finally did it--booked our venues!

We always expected to get married in October, but boy that is a busy month! So officially, as of this evening, we booked our church and have our reception venue and caterer. I will be a 9/28 bride! :)

It is a little crazy since I now have 8 (exactly) months to reevaluate the vendors whose availabilities I have for October, but I feel a huge relief in finally being able to tell people that we have a date!

We've been engaged since Dec. 16th, so everything has been moving quickly. I feel well informed and now it's time to act. Up next, interviewing photographers and entertainment and finally getting a move-on on dress shopping! Exciting stuff ;)

    My FI and I met in a theater while I was performing and he was running light and sound and we've gone on to really love sharing the hobby together. I don't want to go too over-the-top with a theme but I do have a "Broadway" motif in mind--especially because we're known to our friends as the "singing couple" :)
    Our reception venue is a 1920s Slovenian home with a large stage with those beautiful, thick red curtains and a large balcony.  I've had a collection of original Broadway cast recordings of shows that I'm planning to use as/with table "numbers" such as table South Pacific, Music Man, The Phantom of the Opera, etc. We will be sure to take pictures at the lovely Playhouse Square in downtown Cleveland.

    Our colors are navy, marigold and pewter. I think it will be elegant and in the spirit of beautiful September ;)

    Eh, I'm no Ohio State fan (the FI is) and blue was one of my school colors-- WVU Mountaineers! :D

    Melissa, I couldn't help but notice the "Northeast Ohio" and same date :) I read your bio--very cute story! I'm sure I'll see you around various boards!
