Gift Registry?

Hi,
I know for chinese tradition usually we give "red envelopes" as gift....
But does any bride know how I should phrase it in my wedding invitation?
"Your presence will be the greatest gift for our wedding. However, if you would like to bless us with some gift, monetary gift given in a red envelopes is customary to our Chinese tradition??"
Is it ok to phrase it like that? HELP!

Don't mention anything of the sort in your invitation.

Your Chinese guests will probably know the tradition, and your other guests may or may not... but it doesn't matter. A gift is a gift.

I wouldn't mention it at all on your invitation.  Those that observe the custom will use red envelopes, others will simply give you a card or a gift.

Put it on your webpage to explain the custume, how it's good luck and how it works, also just ask your bridal party to spread the word for you. It's not that difficult.
