Wedding Venue - not ballroom type for 110-120 ppl

hi there.  My fiance and i are looking for a venue in New Orleans for November 2013.  We like the warehouse feel vs. the plantation/grand ballroom feel.  We have checked out Rozy's, Chicory, and Musee Conti.  We like Chicory, but it more than we want to spend.  Musee Conti date availability doesn't fit well with us.  Latrobes is booked.

Any other ideas for me?  We will have 110 to 120 people.

Rock N Bowl or Southport Hall?

I think Foundry is pretty similar to the Chicory.  You may also want to check out the Cannery, Fallstaff Beer Garden: http://www.falstaffbeergarden.com/

I also think the Marigny Opera House is really cool, but you would need to bring everything in.

Thanks for the response.  I checked these out and I think they were a bit more casual than what we are looking for.

Thanks for the response.  The cannery looks awesome.  My fiance wasn't big on the location though.  He wanted something more uptown or downtown/quarter area.

I also think Calcasieu, which is run by Donald Link, looks pretty cool.  I don't know what the capacity is.

Republic New Orleans is an awesome venue. Not in the quarter but close enough. The contact there, Jessica, is awesome! We would have picked that as our venue but we really wanted to be in the quarter.

I'm planning my destination wedding in New Orleans and we really wanted a unique venue, too. We ended up going with the Republic (I'm absolutely in love with it!) You should definitely look into it(go to facebook for wedding picutres). One of the other venues that we really liked was "Race & Religious" super cute, alternative & historical--unfortunately they were booked the weekend we wanted. If you need any help wth anything else you should look up Beauty and Brains Consulting. Hiring them was the best decision we ever made, they have helped us save so much money & time & energy! *Good Luck*

Seconding Race and Religious. It's just an amazing space. Very very popular though - my date was booked a year and a half out. But there's pretty much nowhere like it.
    Wedding Countdown Ticker

Oh, and try the pharmacy museum in the french quarter.

Republic looks awesome.  We were about to sign a contract somewhere else and I have emailed Republic to check availability and get pricing.  It holds a lot of people.  I'm wondering if it would be too big for a group of 110 to 120. How many guests are you expecting?
