Re: HEY.

  • Wait there's a vaccine? KD can you link it?
  • Hey ladies! Joe is in bed because he has to work tomorrow. Speaking of dreams, I have been having some crazy ones lately. This house stress is getting to me. We are 2/3 of the way packed thanks to him. His OCD comes in handy around these kinds of times.

  • Its an old drawing of a lizard doing a woman, like the really old erotica.

Thanks, I told him to gargle with warm salt water and get some throat spray. If he's not feeling any better tomorrow to go to urgent care. He has no insurance.

Yeah, they usually just give it to old people, but it was going around so they gave it to me because of my asthma.  And it fuuuucking sucks.  I got that in one arm and my tetanus in the other, and holy jeebus if the pneumonia vaccine arm didn't hurt twice as bad.  I was not pleased.

  • Speaking of tea:

  • KEEP YOUR GERMS.

    BUt also feel better :)

I like this song in this Subaru commercial. What did we do before we had the internet to look up songs and such?
  • We were way less smart when we couldn't look things up on the internet.  I asked H the other day how people found good restaurants in new places before smartphones and yelp.

We smartphone yelped every place we ate at on our HM.

  • Well with that I'm going to bed! Goodnight all!
  • Yeah, eating and travel must have been so much more limited. I wonder how many places work a little harder, knowing reviews could be online within minutes?
  • How much notice is appropriate when quitting a volunteer position?  I mean, I could technically tell her NOW that September will be my last month, but she's sort of one of those people that is a jerkface to people after they her they're quitting.  At the same time, they depend a lot on their volunteers, and I don't want to screw anyone over.

I would give them maybe 3 weeks.

I think the same time frame you would give a paid job would be fine, JK. I'd say 2 weeks notice is fine.

The thing is, they need about 4-6 weeks to train a new volunteer.  I should have said that.

I'm thinking maybe give notice as soon as the Sept sched is out?  Tht way she can't screw me for September, but she'll still have 5 weeks to find a replacement.  And if she wants to be a huge bitchface to me otherwise, I guess I'll just deal with it.

  • I agree with 3 weeks--it's a little over the standard, but not unbearable if she's craycray.

And, yeah, I don't get it. Except I did laugh at the white tuxedo post.

Oh hi.  I got distracted by brownies.  AND tragic news in my world.  I've been drinking can after can of diet pop.  ONLY ITS NOT DIET. O.m.g.  if anyone wants me at all tomorrow, I'll be at the gym.  All day.

Come swim and do Body Pump with me!  Well, it's a knock off Body Pump, but same idea.   I'll take you to my fancypants new gym and it will be lovely.

That sounds cool, Harry.  Do you make a living as an artist?  I'd love to have a career where I'm doing something that I'm passionate about. The only problem is the things I really love to do, aren't really cohesive to paying jobs.

Sure they are--it's called prostitution ;)

Yes!  Always drinking BEFORE the shooting.  I'm a better shot that way.

And then we could go find bears.

Or just be one of the real housewives and stop paying for your mansion so Bravo can pick up the tab.

I was thinking more Teen Mom like.  I'm not actually a teen, but I could pass for one.  I hear MTV pays them about 60k a year.  That's enough for me to live on.  ANd I wouldn't have to flash my hooha around like those Jersey Whores (though they make a lot more money).

So 'I'm in a bit of a predicament. I forgot to get my nephew a souvenir when I was on vacation. Normally not a big deal except, I did remember to get my niece (his sister) one.  I see them next weekend and I'm debating if I should save the gift I got my niece for xmas, or if I should find something around here to buy for my nephew.
    Posted by kodakitty
Can you internet buy a souvenier??

We have deer in our backyard and we live in the city.  It's pretty sweet.

I also wouldn't mind writing Hallmark cards.  First on the list?  "I'm sorry your mentally unstable family member is ruining your life."

  • Is niece's item very obviously from the location? If so, I'd hold on to it. In the midst of Christmas presents, it won't seem so much, but on on one presents, it might be obvious that she got a vacation item and he didn't.

You don't have to be Teresa, you could be Alexis from the RWWOC....although her husband is super douchey like Teresa's.
