Need color/theme ideas and advice for Oct 23 wedding :/

Hi ladies! I need some advice/ideas...

Let start off by saying, in may we took a trip to sf to look for wedding shoes ect., (my original colors were teal blue, champagne and ivory.) my bridesmaids purchased their shoes

I was having a hard time with the teal and finally settled on royal blue (horizon or cobalt), and golden (from David bridal it matches the shoes) and ivory. However looking for inspiration boards with these colors, I found royalblue and yellow are amazing. Fiancé says yellow OR champagne. They don't go together.

So I guess I'm asking does the light gold royal blue and yellow go? Or absolutely not? I won't ask my bm to buy different shoes. I was also thinking of blue, champagne and a jewel tone purple, and go with a royal theme, but I'm pretty broke. I'm curious to know if a royal theme is obtainable on a budget and if so, any ideas for decor or invites?? This is for a fall wedding. Sorry ladies I'm all over the place lol. Wedding planning is hard especially when ur bm are planning ur sisters wedding also and my two year old is teething. And fiancé is no help lol. Any idea or advice welcome

Sorry sister you won't find much help here. The Nor cal board is pretty slow. Try the October 2011 board. they are more likely to help. I know the September board has helped me a great deal.

lol, thank you for the info, that was my first post and i usually only have my iphone so its hard to repost and then wait for it to load ect.... I am at work now tho so i will post to a different board. we found the shoes at macys... they were on clearnace and only 4 pairs left, in exactly the right sizes for my bms. my sister kept asking me are you sure are you sure? we havent even got our dresses yet... lol and i fell in love with the shoes and was dead set on teal blue. lol so now i feel like i would look hella stupid changing them up.

Yeah. But Im sure they would understand if you did. The shoes were only 25 bucks and they are cute enough to wear again so I wouldnt worry too much.

I think you would be fine with those colors (blue, gold, yellow). In fact, with some accessories, the difference between gold and yellow is indistinguishable. When we were shopping for yellow chair ties, we found more gold options than yellow. Furthermore, champagne colored shoes are considered neutral (like silver, bronze, etc). You can have the girls wear those shoes with almost any color scheme and not look inappropriate. See below:

Finally, regardless of color scheme, you can make it happen on a tight budget. Look to buy used. We purchased used frames for our table numbers for cheap. Consider buying v. renting (eg, chair ties) so you can then resell. And DIY if you have time and talent. You just have to decide which are musthaves that you splurge on, and where you can cut corners. The Dollar Store is your friend
