What's included

When a caterer states they charge x amount per setting, what's included? Is $1 too cheap? Or just a good deal

The term setting is not defined by the industry so you have to ask each one what they mean.   With any vendor, read their brochures very critically and very carefully.

$1 sounds extremely cheap unless they're doing plastic.

Granted, it depends on what's included and where you are located; the quotes I've been given are running $4-$7 which includes water glass, salad plate, dinner plate, salad fork, dinner fork, butter knife and spoon.

Add on to that $20-$28 per table for tablecloth and napkins.

I know! I thought 1$ sounded a little out there too! I'm going to buy my own linens, found a few sites that run about 8$ a cloth, going to wait until they run free shipping. The caterer also mentioned that cake cutting/coffe station/coffee cups/AND desserts for 1$ per head...all of that for 1$ total. I've always been told if its too good to be true...it probably isn't! Lol
