need advice for ceremony decor. thanks, ladies!

I am a budget bride the venue for my ceremony is great, but it's a bit plain for me. There's a simple white backdrop and there are candelbras I can use (but I don't want them). I am not too fond of arches and flowers...any ideas for something at the alter to make it look pretty? I don't want to just blend into the white backdrop. lol

You can use tulle, satin bows, or up lighting for the back drop.

What month are you getting married in ? im getting married in October and using little pumpkins along the pews..Maybe something from nature you could use?

Lighting doesn't have to be all that expensive, if you are just trying to spotlight the ceremony area. You could get a couple of PAR36 pinspots with bulbs for $12.35 each. And you could most likely get all or most of your money back by reselling them after the wedding.

If its indoors, I think candles always look nice. We are having an outdoor ceremony and rather than an arch (we're outside, nature is our arch) we have 2 plant stands and are going to fill them with flowers in our wedding colors. We will also have a bunch of white twinkle lights in the trees.
