Moving to Austin

Hello from a DFW knottie!

My family lives in Leander, and DH and I are wanting to move there soon. DH has already found a job, but I'm still searching. I'm looking for an administrative position, in any type of industry. If any of you have any recs, I would be so appreciative to hear them. I'm pretty much willing to work anywhere, within reasonable driving distance. I have about 3-4 years experience in admin positions.

I've been working thru any openings I find on careerbuilder.com, but it's turning out to be a dead end.

UT is technically on a hiring freeze right now but they may have administrative positions open. Their job search website is http://utdirect.utexas.edu/pnjobs/index.WBX

The state of Texas is also usually hiring, since Austin is the capital. You can try looking on the "Work in Texas" website:
http://www.twc.state.tx.us/jobs/job.html

I don't know much about Leander, but UT and the Capitol complex are right near each other in downtown Austin, so the commute shouldn't be too bad.

I think it's hard to find jobs in Austin, but if you're open to any industry, you will definitely find something! Good luck.
