Hey ladies! Let's play a game. What are your favorites in Columbus that are off the beaten path. Places not many people know about. Let's share our finds.

    Aladdin's - various places, but I've been to the one in Bexley, Lebanese
    Tony's Italian Ristorante - yummy, in German Village, also where our RD will be!

    not sure if they are hidden gems, or if I'm late in finding out about them.

    Katzinger's - German Village - Jewish sandwich shop
    Mr. Sushi - Gahanna - our FAV sushi place!!

    Lavash in Clintonville. Medditeranean and Greek. Check out their menu, they are delicious! 

    I love Sushi Ting! 

    Brown Bag in German Village- it's a sandwhich place. 

    Katzinger's in German Village. Expensive, but worth it!

    Akai Hana (Henderson) - best Japanese in Columbus

    Cuco's (Henderson)

    The asian place that's in the old Taco Bell on Lane Avenue

    I forgot to mention Katzinger's homemade dill pickles!! They're A-MAZING! And you can take as many as you can eat out of the barrel!! And is it a little on the pricey side, but with good reason ;)

    Well besides the ones listed here, I love Tommy's pizza on Lane/OSU campus. 
    I also love Cafe Apropos in Harrison West/Vict Village but that is for coffee/drinks not really eating out.


    Has anyone tried Betty's Fine Foods/Spirits in Short North?  That's on my list to try but have never actually been...

    Edamame Sushi
    Lavash
    La Chatelaine
    Tip Top
    Thurman's (not a hidden gem per se but love their burgers)
    Northstar Cafe

    I'm sure I'm forgetting some but if I remember I'll edit and add!

    Betty's is my favorite restaurant in Columbus :)

    Don't forget about Dirty Franks downtown!

    If you like sushi you have to check out Yoshi's in Dublin (next to the Bonefish grill) the best sushi I've ever had.

    I super love Betty's and Tip Top!!!
    Asian Gourmet - Sushi - Gahanna
    Steak- Top Steakhouse Bexley

    I love Mr. Sushi (great prices) for take out, but Asian Gourmet for sit down dinner (great atmosphere and wine list!).

    Vick's Pizza (in reynoldsburg) is to die for

    The Union has the best martini list

    Lola's in Gahanna is some of the best italian food in cbus and family owned

    Gahanna Grill has great burgers and an outdoor patio

    Salvi's on the west side has the best Sunday brunch ever (complete with mimosas!)

    Surly Girl - AMAZING (bar) food and drinks too!  Also, a pretty amazing brunch on the weekends (saturdays and sundays)  try the grapefruit mimosa, yum!

    that's all i can think of - this post has made me quite hungry ;)

    Mykonos in Gahanna (Stoneridge). Family owned amazing Greek food.

    Adriatico's on campus (probably not too hidden!) is the best pizza I've ever had.

    94th Aero Squadron has a fantastic Sunday brunch buffet and has the best beer cheese soup ever at dinner.

    Salvis is AMAZING!!! It moved from Hilliard to 161 but it is so yummy.

    I  second (third, fourth?) Betty's/Tip Top/Surly Girl/Dirty Franks.  The owner is ah-mazing and can do no wrong in my eyes!

    -Mac' Cafe (Short North): Bar food with a Scottish Twist
    -Figlio (Grandview): Italian?
    -Cap City Diner (Gahanna and Grandview): Upscale Diner/Owned by Cameron Mitchell
    -Adriatico's (OSU Campus): Pizza
    -Peking Dynasty (Grandview): Chinese
    -Yanni's (Westerville): Greek
    -El Arepazo (Downtown): Venezuelan
