Any recommendations for a reasonably priced place in DC-proper for an up-do? Places in or near Dupont, Georgetown, or Gallery Place would be particularly convenient.

You might also want to check out Nena's Special Occasions Hair and Make-Up. Her rates are quite reasonable (and include a free trial), she will come to you, and she can do both hair and make-up. We loved the styles she did for us (although they were not updos), and she has pictures of updos she has done on her Facebook page.
