I lived in Tampa for 6 years, there's plenty of fun to be had there!  You could go out in Ybor or Channelside and make a huge night of it.  I used to see a lot of bachelorette parties at Howl at the Moon at Channelside.

You might want to post on the FL board for ideas.  There's a Central FL board and a West Coast board.  Click on Local Wedding boards on the left side to find them.

Yeah, that's true. That is kind of along the lines I was thinking too. I just didn't know if anyone had any other ideas. Maybe end up at the Casino later. Thanks for the input.

I think it really depends on want type of fun you want.  I am not a drinker so we did several things.  First, we went to Islands of Adventure during the day and then had dinner in City Walk.  We then came back to Tampa to one of the girl's home and had a woman do a Pleasure Party.  We had so much fun the entire day.  If you're into clubs, Channelside isn't too bad.  I don't think it's what it used to be though.

When my girlfriend got married in November, we went and got a hotel right outside of Universal's City Walk in Orlando.  We went over and had dinner and had gotten a great deal on an "all club" pass from the concierge at the hotel and we just went from club to club there in City Walk- it was a BLAST!!!  Danced our butts off, and just had a great time!!

SOHO has a lot of great options along Howard Avenue.  You could reserve a restaurant room/table for your party and then walk to any of the bars or clubs along the street.  For restaurant and bar reccomendations check out Tampa Bay Metro MIx.  You can choose a place by the type of food, music and location you want.
