balloons and lighting problems

Are balloons at a wedding a no-no? I have a HUGE reception venue but we are unable to hang anything from the walls or ceilings. i want it to feel more cozy and intimate. Any ideas on how to string lights without using the walls or ceilings?

Stay away from balloons. IMO, balloons tend to make the space less mature and more like a prom or birthday party. I'm not totally against the large balloons like PP showed in the space, because I think they look more like lanterns and less like balloons. I would stick with all one color though.

I also vote no on the balloons. You can hire a lighting guy to have lights around the venue. In all honesty I probably wouldn't even worry about it. Ask the venue if they have pictures from previous weddings and see how they decorated...I'm sure you will find out that people didn't bother with the walls and just focused on the tables.
