I need ideas on how to include all of my little brothers in my wedding!

I have 4 younger brothers and I want to include them all in my wedding. They are ages 6, 10, 13, & 16. I'm having my brother that is 16 stand up with me and my bridesmaids. I don't want to leave the rest out, but don't know what to have them do. Any ideas on how to include them? Even really "creative"  ideas are welcome! I don't mind being a little bit different & they would like to do something "cool". =)

Just because you saw it on Four Weddings, doesn't mean it's a good idea.
  • 10 and 13 as ushers, 6 as ring bearer?

  • 13 and maybe 10 (depending on the kid) could do readings for you. 6 could bea  ringbearer. You could also just have them all stand up with your bridesmaids. There are no age restrictions on that...

I'd probably have 16yo escort my mother to her seat then do a brief reading.  13 and 10 stand with bridesmaids and/or serve as an usher and 6 be a ringbearer.

Please don't do guest book attendant.  People know what to do with a guest book and that is really a horribly boring "honorary" job.  Using the quotes because I don't find it to be an honor at all.

ETA:  If you have any widowed grandmothers/great aunts other female VIPs escorting them in the pre-processional is another good place for your 13 & 10 yo brothers.

<div>Ditto to ceh, especially the bit about the guestbook. Please can figure it out on their own. </div>
  • Ring bearer
Sign carrier "Here comes the bride"
    Bell ringer
    Readings
    Runner-puller-outter  (lol)

There are lots of ways to include them.  You could also have all of them join your father when they ask "Who give this bride" and they could all say "We do!".

  • My FI's younger brother (13) is an usher. He will also walk down the aisle but then sit in the front row. He's walking because he said "I want to do whatever my brother does". Which we think icludes marrying me!

And six is the perfect age for a ring bearer.

  • Ushers and the littlest one can be the ring bearer! That's sweet of you to include them all!

  • I have a similar issues with my sister-in-laws and brothers. My brothers are going to be ushers. As I walk down the isle my sister-in-laws and other siblings are going to hand me a flower- which will create my bouquet. Also, make a point to give them all a special, creative gift at the reception. Call them up in front of everybody and hand them their own present. With the women in my family I'm going to do some piece of jewelry. You could do a crafty item with the boys or a new ball cap or anything, really.
