Distributing wine favors?

FI's dad is making us regular size bottles of wine with labels we will make ourselves as favors.  He has found fruity flavor wines to be very popular (think Arbor Mist--which my family and friends love) and they are his specialty.  We decided to have two flavor options: peach (uses a white base) and blackberry (uses a red base) and offer one bottle per couple or per single person.
What do you think of this plan: based on the number of people assigned to the tables put half of each flavor in the center.  So a table with 4 couples gets 2 white and 2 red; a table with 2 couples and 4 singles gets 3 of each flavor.
Will it be confusing to the table with couples and singles that it is one per couple/single?

Can you use them as ecsort cards? Attach a tag to the bottle with the person(s) names(s) and table. Just alternate when you lay them out and people can switch as they see fit. It will be easier than having to figure out each table as it is set up.

I agree that the escort card option is the best way.

It might look cheap if some tables have more bottles than others.

I agree. the escort card idea might be the best. people can always trade with each other if they want a different kind of wine.

the only other idea is to create some sort of 'one per couple' sign at the escort table, or at each table.... but that might not be the best etiquette.

Thanks!  I like the escort card idea, it will also make the display of the escort cards a little more interesting.
I suppose I can make a tag big enough to list both names for couples and some kind of chicken/steak indicator so they are reminded what they ordered/the server knows.
