we are planning our ceremony, and looking for ideas to celebrate our marriage, ideas about vows, special touches, etc. to include we are not religious, but want to have elements that are meaningful to us

You might want to Google "secular wedding ceremonies," and then modify the pronouns in the one(s) you like. My bio has what we used, but that was a Jewish ceremony, so at least some parts of it would likely not work for you.

We created both of our ceremonies - one that was officially legal and took place in MA, the other was the whole shebang with our fathers walking us down the aisle, etc. in Miami. They were both deeply personal and meaningful - but not religious. You have to make it your own, but I found a lot of inspiration from the texts I found on Modern Ketubah as well as New Ketubah.
