How many Certified Copies of Marriage Certificate do I need?

I got married in Kane County, don't know if that makes a difference or not.  But, I'm just wondering how many copies I should get?  When I go change my name at SS, DMV, banks, do I need a certified copy at each place?  Sorry if this is a dumb quesion or been asked a million times!

TIA!

Nobody keeps it, so I'd say one.

We got 5.  Just to have them.  We keep one in the car "just in case" we go somewhere that doesn't know me by my new name and sent one to the passport agency.  It is like birth certificates, you never know where those went!
It's time. Adoption saving and process started in November 2012.

I only ordered one. I went to SS yesterday to get a new card and they did not keep it.
I asked at the bank as I was doing my deposit and they said they only need a copy.
Those are the only places I checked with.

I don't know if you need your new SS card to get a new drivers license or just a copy of your cert. I am going to call today. I also live in Kane but was married in DuPage.

Ok, thanks everyone.  I think I'll just get two to be safe!
