Any thought's on serving people a meal on the beach and what should we serve??

    Your biggest issue is to be protected from the elements---sun, wind, sand, and rain. We are hosting a 50th wedding annivesary celebration along Lake Michigan for my in-laws, but are having the luau style dinner back away from the shoreline to avoid issues with the sand and wind. No matter how beautiful a day can be, there is always a strong wind at some point coming off the water. We will be behind the tall dunes for protection. A tent doesn't always help with the wind and the blowing sand if your too close. I'm sure if your heart is set on the look and feel of the beach, you'll work it all out. Best of luck!
