Speciality cake ordering

Hi,

I'm looking into getting my fiance a cake for our rehersal. I inquired at Pink Cake Box (the same company who does buisiness with our venue-we'll get our wedding cake from them). When I asked about making an appointment because it was difficult to describe my ideas via email or phone, I was told I couldn't becuase they only make appointments for people who are ordering for 80+ slices. Mind you, I'm talking about a 500 dollar + cake. Anyone else find this happen to them- not necessarily with this bakery but another? I'm a bit baffled by this.

Thats strange....our cake had 50-60 slices and we had a sheet cake for the rest but maybe thats why? Did you mention they are also doing your wedding cake?

No I didn't. Maybe I'll throw that in the email. I just can't see what is the big deal for meeting 1/2 an hour. I'm spending more time emailing the person. I think I just may look into another bakery.

i would say to email them that theyre also doing your wedding cake and a 20 minute meeting is not gonna hurt them. what will hurt them is if you take ur wedding and rehersal cakes to another bakery, which if i were u would definitly consider.
