Re: Wearing His Uniform

  • If he is honorably discharged he may wear it.

Your husband can wear whatever he wants to the party. If you're wearing a dress, he can wear a suit or nice slacks. I really can't see him in a uniform if he's finished with the military.
  • The question really is what does he want to wear to your party?  Have you asked if he wants to wear his uniform?  If he does, really, he should be able to answer this question for you.

  • Also, your FI is a current service member who is aware of uniform policies but you are asking a bunch of internet strangers if he is allowed to wear it.  Have a little faith in his knowledge over that of strangers.
  • Yeah, being secretly married generally doesn't fly around here. We can see your other posts ya know?

But yeah, ditto what Sammy said. He gets to choose what he wants to wear.

And because I'm feeling snarky today. good luck when your family and friends find out you are lying to them. Way to start your marriage off as a lie.

If he is honorably discharged, he can wear his uniform to any formal event.  However, being secretly married and lying about it to every one you know goes directly against nearly every Army Value he has sworn to uphold.  That's not exactly honorable, is it?  Loyalty?  Duty?  Respect? Selfless Service? Honor? Integrity? Personal Courage?
