Hawaii

No more hula. :)

Ally-ruth made me remember.
I made a change of plans.
Originally, I was going to surprise FI with a hula dance.
However... because my shoes are so high, I can walk in my dress with my shoes off... but there is no way I could dance without tripping.  It's too thin and drapey at the bottom.

SOOooooooooooooooooo, I came up with what may be an even better surprise.
Back in college, (a long, long, time ago) FI would always ask me when I'd play my violin for him.  I always said, "I'll play at your wedding."  But I never thought I'd be the bride at this wedding!
Between being the bride and going to HI, it was just assumed that I wouldn't have to fulfill my promise anymore.
But, I decided I'd like to.
So my parents have agreed to lug a violin to HI for me so that I can surprise FI.  :)

We'll have a guitar player doing all of our music, so he'll back me up.  So far, I'm thinking of playing, "Hawaiian Wedding Song" during the ceremony.  Then if the mood strikes, maybe later in the evening I'll play Jason Mraz's "I'm Yours" for fun.

Any other suggestions for songs?  I wanted to stray from the typical Canon in D and Ave Maria (I LOVE both... but that's what I always play at weddings.).
