GTKY Monday - Toronto Edition

OK, I've been a neglectful Mod - I apologize.  I moved a month ago and I'm taking a course, and my day to day teaching has consumed my life - the usual!  It's March Break and although I still have a ton to do (except teach), I need to make some time for my Knotties!  So, let's catch up!

1. How many days or months or years until your wedding left?
2. What was your most recent wedding-related project and how did it go?
3. What is your next wedding-related project and what needs to be done to accomplish it?
4. Outside of wedding stuff, anything exciting going on in your life with family, work, etc.?

Wedding season is quickly approaching for 2011 - so exciting!  Any new brides-to-be out there who want to say hello?

    So I don't have any wedding-related stuff for myself as I have been married for just over 7 months, but there are lots of other things going on in my life.  

    As mentioned above, I moved almost a month ago.  We moved out of our rented condo right downtown and now are living in Danforth Village (Danforth & Woodbine) in a semi-detached house.  It was move-in ready (as in no necessary projects), but we are doing a lot of updates.  We are starting in the basement, making an office and library out of the bare empty room.  We are doing the living/dining room next with a built-in sideboard covered in quartz for a nice serving surface and storage space, plus paint and some new furniture.  We got a PAX wardrobe for the bedroom since the closets are tiny, and are going to paint the bedroom and get new bedding too.  Lots of little projects, one room at a time - very exciting!

    Work teaching is good, and I'm taking my honours specialist in Chemistry (I teach chem currently, and this is just an upgrade course to incorporate more teaching skills to my classes, not to mention it bumps me up a pay grade when I finish).  This course has been taking up a lot of my time for the past 6 weeks (like 3 hours a day, not kidding), but only one month to go!   Also the vocal director for my school play, Aladdin, which shows the first week of April, so that takes up a few hours after school each night too, hence the crazy busy life!  I have to go in this week on my break to start painting the set!

    Next fun thing is a 10 day mediterranean cruise with DH's family in August.  We'll be there during our 1 year anniversary which will be fun!

    So now you know more about my hectic life - fill me in with yours! :)

    I'll bite...

    1. How many days or months or years until your wedding left? ~ 5 months

    2. What was your most recent wedding-related project and how did it go?  Registering at The Bay... it was painful deciding on our china/dishes!  Other than that, the assistant lady was very helpful and patient with us though.

    3. What is your next wedding-related project and what needs to be done to accomplish it?  Guys' attire - picking a store, getting a "deal", and picking tie/vest colours.

    4. Outside of wedding stuff, anything exciting going on in your life with family, work, etc.?  Nothing special!  Work sucks and my family/friends are being very supportive and helpful with the wedding - I almost don't have enough for them to do, they keep asking!

    117 days... 3 months 3weeks and 4 days to go!!
    2. What was your most recent wedding-related project and how did it go?
    Most recently I've been working on the guestlist and invites... Only 6 more invites to make! YAY!
    3. What is your next wedding-related project and what needs to be done to accomplish it?
    Table Names, Program/fans, and maps for the invites.
    4. Outside of wedding stuff, anything exciting going on in your life with family, work, etc.? I'm getting myself healthier hopefully lose some weight and getting prepared to have a baby right after our wedding.

    5 months and about 2 weeks to go.

    2. What was your most recent wedding-related project and how did it go?
    Creating our Guest Book which I had made out of pictures from our engagement photos. I hope it went well... waiting for it to make it to my house from the US where I ordered it from!

    3. What is your next wedding-related project and what needs to be done to accomplish it?
    Invitations, Menus, Table Cards, Escort Cards..... and my dad and his coworker are designing them so, it's all under control.

    4. Outside of wedding stuff, anything exciting going on in your life with family, work, etc.?
    Not really.  Work = life right now.

What is your next wedding-related project and what needs to be done to accomplish it?I delegated FI the task of finding an officiant and I'm working on decor/centrepieces.4. Outside of wedding stuff, anything exciting going on in your life with family, work, etc.?We're moving in less than 2 weeks to a bigger condo, which is awesome, but I'm living amongst piles of boxes and frankly, I hate moving although I'll be so happy once we're moved - past tense important!

    Super late to the game, but I'd like to play!

    1. How many days or months or years until your wedding left?
    Just over a year to go.
    2. What was your most recent wedding-related project and how did it go?
    Met with an officiant last night.  I thought we could wait a while but I emailed a couple of people just in case and one was already booked for our date, so we figured we had better get on it!
    3. What is your next wedding-related project and what needs to be done to accomplish it?
    We need to pick our DJ -we are trying to decide between two and I have no idea who to choose.  The music is so important to us and I don't want to mess it up!
    4. Outside of wedding stuff, anything exciting going on in your life with family, work etc.?
    Besides wedding stuff life is pretty hectic.  I've got a five month old who demands attention almost every second of the day!

    157 Days-5 months this Sunday

    2. What was your most recent wedding-related project and how did it go?
    Invites-getting them ready to send overseas next week. 

    3. What is your next wedding-related project and what needs to be done to accomplish it? Assemble the rest of the invites and gather addresses I'm going to pick up my dress on Saturday and probably do a hair trial with my FG and JR BM this weekend as well.  Gotta start my registry! 

    4. Outside of wedding stuff, anything exciting going on in your life with family, work, etc.? Training for a half marathon in the spring, thats about it

    Finalizing the ceremony programs and organizing the rehearsal/reearsal dinner

    Putting together the seating chart. It is going to take patience and time but it needs to be done!

    I got a raise which couldn't have come at a better time, thank God! Also looking forward to our carribean honeymoon on the 29th!
