Flowers

Where are all the OC brides getting their flowers at? Are you using real or fake? Just trying to look into my options.

Thanks!

I'm getting my flowers through a retired florist. I'm not sure what her connections are. But I've heard most brides go to downtown LA and order their flowers in the flower district? Garment district? I know it's somewhere around there. Hopefully someone else knows what I'm talking about.

I'm getting my flowers through a florist that I LOVE <3!  Bride and Bloom Flowers.  Amy does beautiful work and my friend also used her a couple of years ago and that wedding was gorgeous. There is no way I would use fake flowers I think they are cheesy. I would only do fresh for sure! Here is the link to the website if you want to check her out www.brideandbloomflowers.com

Flowers were one thing I decided to save money on because we wanted to spend most of our money on food and wine.  Fortunately I like things very simple, so this was easy to do.

I ordered from fiftyflowers.com.  They deliver two days before your wedding - in "bud" form.  I had about five large buckets of water that I put them in to bloom.  If you need to speed up the process, you can add hot water.  If you need to slow down the process, you add ice.  My only advice is to let them take their course.  I got a little anxious about blooming and added hot water too early so they were a little more open then they needed to be.

The night before/morning of the wedding, we put everything together.  I used roses and wrapped a small bouqet for myself and put the rest in vases.  I also used two large vases with white carnations for the ceremony.  I practiced wrapping bouqets a few times with instructions I found online.

I got 144 roses and 75 carnations for about $350.

I am getting my flowers from http://www.bella-blooms.com/ They are located in anaheim. They are very helpful when working with a budget! I recently had my bridal bouquet mock up done and it was far beyond my expectations. Here is a pic so you can see the amazing work they do!

  • We are using Finishing Touch Wedding Design.  Brandi is amazing.  She totally understood my vision and I'm super excited to see it executed.  And worked with us to stay under budget.
