Wedding Vows & Ceremony Discussions

Want to include my kids

I have two kids, they will be 2 and 4 months when I get married. I want to include them somehow, in the ceremony. Any ideas? I thought of giving them each a vial of sand for our sand ceremony. Any other ideas though?

I don't know if they are the grooms or not. When my friend got married, two of their 3 kiddies were his. For the oldest (he was in the picture when she was born and she has always called him dad), he asked her to come to the altar and gave her a ring and said vows about being her Dad. It was sweet, though she was about 8 years old. I still like the vow idea, but maybe tailor it to be spoken to you not the kids, or do it as a family thing outside of the wedding ceremony. He also included their other 2 daughters in this, giving them rings and promising them he would always be their dad too. I think the rings had their birthstones. The younger two were about 4 and just walking (not sure how old). It was incredibly touching and made everyone in the audience cry.

I also really liked the being introduced as a family comment. Great idea!!
