help figuring out a venue

I am looking for a venue that I can have an outdoor ceremony with a covered or inside reception in Oct when the leaves are turning. I want to have it at one location , i was thinking at the most 200 guests. My FI is even thinking of going up towards fredrick so it would be cheaper but I would be open to even in Alexandria though it is a strech.  We are having a traditional jewish wedding so i be open to sugestionsfor cateres.

    Hi There,

I am going with the Hilton Mark Center in Alexandria and they do have the option for the outdoor/indoor wedding that will easily accomadate 200 guests.  Check them out.  I'm not sure about the food in case you are looking for kosher, but I'm sure they will work something out with you.  Laure is the person to talk to and she is absolutely great.

    Hope this helps. :)

    Love is the ultimate superpower.
It can make you weak and strong simultaneously.

  • I'm looking for the same thing. We saw Ceresville Mansion in Frederick, MD, which could fit 150 and be tight, so I wouldn't recommend that one.

But we also saw the Airlie Center, which is kind of far, in Warrenton, VA, but it's beautiful! It has 150 guest rooms for your guests to stay in. For the ceremony, you get married on a grassy terrace which can fit 250 and then cocktail hour outdoors (there's tons of trees, nature, a pond, etc) and then they have an gorgeous indoor pavillion surrounded with windows on all sides (that also open up) for the reception that can also fit 250 easily. http://www.airlie.com/

Let me know if you find anything else because we're both planning basically the same wedding :) Fall 2013, big wedding, indoor/outdoor.
