I'm from Baxley and I had a girlfriend who had her wedding back home. Her reception was at a reception hall in Balckshear...about 15-20 minutes out of town.

Also there are lots of beautiful homes that the local banks own around Lake Mayer. We always had birthday parties and other parties there in high school. People State Bank used to own a cool one. They were right off the water and had full kitchens so catering it would be easy. Hope this helps.
