Seeking reception site in Columbia area

Hello! My daughter and fiance will only be here for about two weeks around Christmas, and I'm seeking suggestions on reception sites as they plan to be married in our church.

We prefer a venue that will allow self-catering. This is an intercultural wedding and the groom's family and friends have a tradition of cooking for the wedding. Or we could do a combination of catering and self-catering.

We can spend up to $2000 on the reception for about 125.

The city art building rents itself out for weddings, so they may allow for self-catering since it's just an event space. It's in the vista and a lovely space for an "old building' rustic feel, but can be very dressed up to be black tie!

I went to a reception at the Hilton Columbia (http://www.hiltoncolumbia.com/) that was great. It was a beautiful place, everything went as planned. The block rooms were at the Hampton Inn Columbia Downtown Historic District (http://www.hamptoninncolumbia.com/) and it was also great and walking distance from the reception.
