Guest List

We had planned on having 60 people at the wedding and no children under 15. The grooms parents just gave us an updated guest list with 47 people which includes children.

I just found out that my daughter and her Fiancé  did not tell the grooms parents about the limit of guests or no kids. I am having a hard time paying for this wedding as it is and the grooms parent said that they cannot help out.

How do I handle this situation?

    Lay down the line. With your daughter, not with her future in laws. Have you made it clear how much you can afford to contribute? If not, do so asap, and tell your daughter either they need to cut the guest list down to x people, however many you can afford from the grooms side, or the couple can pay the difference.
