  Google "House on the Hill" in Austin.  I've never been there, but I think it's similar to what you're looking for--a large house that sleeps quite a few people and caters to small weddings.  I believe it's in the Westlake area which is near lake Austin, although I don't think it's right on the lake.  Good luck!

  That's such a great idea! My family rents a house for 25 people in Destin each year, and we have a blast! Plus, no worrying about people driving home after drinking.

  Memory Lane in Dripping Springs is vary similar to House on the Hill - but there is also a website called VBRO - they have a good list of vacation rental houses. You can narrow the search to Lake Travis.
