Happy Thursday

Re: Happy Thursday

  • One hundred days! Woot! That's what I'm thinking today. Am I the last 'reg' on this board to get married? I think I am.

Anyway, I'm making salted caramel cookie dough truffles today to take to FI's promotion ceremony tomorrow. I'm also getting ready to head back to the wedding town in a week or so to try to finalize a lot of stuff and do a hair and make-up trial.

    I think so...
Mmmm those cookie dough truffles sound amazing! Mind sharing the receipe?

I am sore from running and cleaning yesterday. I have only had a cup of coffee this morning, and am entertaining my bro and sis in law tonight. I am excited to see them and the kids! But, I am tired and crabby because I am hungry and sore.
  • CAB-This is the recipe I'm trying to make, I'm also making the homemade caramel sauce that's linked in the recipe.

    Woo hoo! Thanks girl!
  • YUM!!!!! Those look great.

I am working, sweating my butt off, getting stuff ready for H to come home, trying to get things together for our move in a month or so and making sure the incoming students are taking care of when they arrive.
  • I clearly haven't missed much, but I  have been stupidly busy at work...This is the only day in a few weeks where I have had 15 minutes of peace to eat my lunch.

I am excited for the OLYMPICS! YEAH! Can't wait for my favorite sport.... RACE WALKING! Also what is the race where they jump over hurdles and land in water?  Love that. Because of how "into" backetball I got during the finals I am looking forward to seeing some backetball again!

I've been sleeping all morning because I worked night shift last night.  I was so glad it was raining when I got home because it made it a lot easier to sleep.  I think I need to get some of those room darkening curtains because I just got part time and now work 50% night shift and 50% day/evening shift.

On a side note, I figured I'd let you guys know I got the call this week that I was a non-select for MC OCS again.  I'm really bummed about it but DH and I have come up with a pretty solid plan of what is next for both of us in our respective careers. I also guess that if I want there to be a bright side, I work with some pretty great people and have a pretty decent job at the moment.

Divine, you are making me hungry.

ETA: Did they change the way you post your siggy?  I did it the same way I always do but I'm getting the stupid IMG code instead of the actual picture.  That annoys me so much.

Ugh, Sammy,I am sorry. That really sucks, but I am so glad that you are working and still like it there.

On a similar note, H is not looking like he'll get into the Army while in school at all at this point. Oh well.

YES!!!!! My friends and I are going to have an Olympic Party, and I keep throwing out the ramdom games. Pretty sure we are doing the Hammer Toss (with real hammers)  and Racewalking (maybe Racewalking relay...)

We have only been looking forward to this party since 4 years ago...

  • Hey ladies

Finally got to take my FL state paramedic exam this afternoon and received a preliminary "pass" result. Woohoo! One more thing behind me. I took a nursing test last week and passed that as well, so I am halfway done with that program. Thank God!

H found out today that the transmission in his car has to be rebuilt, so that totally sucks... will cost somewhere between $400-2200 to fix. Ick.

It's getting closer to our Tahoe trip! He calls it a vacation. I'm clearly less delusional and call it a family reunion. Parts of it are relaxing, but other parts not-so-much. I love H's family, but I hardly think that a family reunion where you have scheduled family activities is really quite a "vacation".

Posted by firemedicrr[/QUOTE]<div>I went home for a week and literally had something scheduled every single day. It was not relaxing at all. I constantly had something to do/someone to see. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed every single second of it, but it was tiring.

  • Hey chicks! Slow day today for me, but I did see "Magic Mike" with a girlfriend. Holy hotness. Haha. And I'm so excited for the Olympics toooooo, yay gymnastics, track & field, swimming!
    image
  • I am sooo not into the Olympics at all. Maybe it's because I'm lazy and they make me feel guilty? Possibly.
  • I love gymnastics and swimming.

Not gonna lie, swimmers have some of the best bodies going.

Holy crap, it's been a hell of a week. I will know soon if I get the job as a car saleswoman. FINALLY got my application in for that apartment I needed in San Antonio and am finalizing my schedule for school. Part-time job, full time student and wedding planning...oh my!

Btw, congrats Gg! :) and I'm with Cab...I just can't watch the olympics...they bore me :/

ETA: Pinterest seems to be down...so now I've got nothing to distract me from this massive headache. Blah.
