Hi my wedding is nov 2 2013 and I want to lock in my florist by February. I want real flowers. Has anyone researched what flowers are "in season" in the northeast region, Philadelphia to be exact? What are inexpensive options? Any help would be awesome. Thanks ladies!

    I don't know anything about the Northeast, but I would recommend trying your local board (see list to the left).

    When you talk to florists, ask them. They should know what is seasonal locally.

    Im getting married in the Pittsburgh area - also Nov.

    I was never a fan of carnations, but I recently googled images (since they are sooo inexpensive). I absolutely love them in a pomander/kissing ball. I have two flower girls and I think they'll be perfect. I'm going to meet with a florist soon, but I'll end up with carnations in my bouquet as well just to keep things coordinated.

    I googled a week or so ago for flowers in season, but can't remember the full list. Anemones were on it. I love them too.
