All in one venue Oahu

Been engaged for awhile and finally started to officially plan our wedding but need help finding the perfect all in one venue. 150 guests with a recep/ ceremony budget of $12, 000. Preferably a terrace ceremony or a venue with a view instead of the cliche ballroom. Any thoughts?

  • Have you looked at Halekulani in Waikiki.

We have but its a little/ alot over our price range unfortunately. We went to the wedding cafe and found Hyatt and Ihilani is most of what we are looking for and within our budget. Just waiting for them to both reply back and schedule a site visit. Any thoughts on these venues?
  • The location for Hyatt is convenient but the Ihilani will have a great views of the sunset....haven't been to a wedding in either of the venues though..sorry!

One thing to note if you haven't seen it already is whether either of the hotels net off the cost to hire the ballroom to the amount of food you order for the wedding?
When we were looking into hotel vs offsite venues, Halekulani charged around $5,000 to rent the ballroom but if you spent that much on food anyway, they wouldn't charge you for the ballroom rental.
I have a friend getting married at the Hilton and I hear that it's not the case there.

  • We are getting married at the Ihilani in 3 weeks. Our ceremony is on the Lagoon Lawn overlooking the ocean. Cocktails will be in the outdoor ocean gazebo, transitioning to dinner in the Ocean Ballroom Foyer. Still outside but covered and in the grand entrance of the foyer so it is kind of the best of both worlds inside and outside. Our dance will then transitition into the ballroom for the remainder of the night. Should have pictures in a month or so.. but so far the planning with the Ihilani has been great. Joe Ibarra the event coordinator there has been a joy to work with. We also picked the Ihilani so we could escape the busy atmosphere of Waikiki on our wedding day and have a bit more privacy. :-)
  • We used the Voyager Deck at the Outrigger Reef on the Beach.  Overlooks Waikiki.  Not sure on pricing though, you'd have to check their website.  We did ceremony and reception and it was amazing.

  • Thanks everyone for all of your inputs. We've finally found our dream venue and within our budget plus the catering manager, Michele is a godsend. We absolutely fell in love with the terrace .. $1200 ceremony includes 120 chairs, alter amd sound system, plus they will set up the circular chairs for you at no charge if you want something unique. Love the ballroom with the beautiful chandeliers as well. The only downside was the Minimum Revenue Commitment which was $12000 of just the food and beverage. But regardless there were so many details included that II didn't have to worry about such as the affordable yet delicious food, cake, included suite and etc., So I'd say the positives most definitely outweighed the negatives. Super excited :) -arlene
