Budget wedding venue South of Boston?

Hi Ladies!
My FSIL is looking to have a large wedding (175ish) somewhere in Southeast Mass or South Shore next March (St. Patrick's day to be specific). We're hoping by booking early they can get a good deal and keep total costs around $10k. She's also considering doing a just appetizers and desserts reception.

Any suggestions for venues we can check out? She's not particular about the type of venue or decor etc.

I've heard great things about Venezia. It has great water views and great food. Since it is a restaurant it can be cheaper.

The Barker Tavern has great packages, amazing food and service, and the location's great for that time of year! I had my wedding there last January and they offer an off-season discount if you guarantee at least 125 guests. Becky Jordan Smith is the contact there, she's absolutely wonderful

I'm not sure what the max each place can hold, but I know friends that have done weddings under 10K in the South Shore at:

Canoe Club in West Bridgewater
The Sapphire Estate in Sharon
Monponsett Inn in Halifax-- I think my cousin had around 160 at hers-- so it may be able to work
Raffeal's at the South Shore Country Club-- Weymouth

I know the Villa can hold 175, I know it's fairly reasonable so you may be able to keep in under 10K-- they also have a fireplace so it would be really nice in March

The Tirrell Room in Quincy can hold over 200 people and is very budget friendly.

Independence Harbor in Freetown, MA - beautiful, picturesque grounds and very reasonable. http://www.ihweddings.com/

I would also recommend Country Gardens in Rehoboth, MA. It also has a scenic setting.

I looked at some places in Southeastern Mass. Rachel's Lakeside in Darmouth seemed really affordable.

Def try the Tirrell room. Venezia I think was about $85 per person not including much. Good luck!
