Adding a Bridesmaid

I have a friend that I used to be very close with in college and have not done a great job of keeping in touch with since then, until we recently.  I would like to ask her to be a part of the wedding party now, but I asked my sister and one other friend a few months ago.  The wedding is still 10 months away, but I'm wondering if this would be offensive to the other members of the wedding party?  This friend would not be offended to be asked later, since we only reconnected recently.

    I would think your BMs would be very understanding about you reconnecting with an old friend and asking her to be in WP.  I honestly can't see why they would be offended.

    You are really just now at the point where you should be picking your WP so I'd say you are in the clear.

    Why would it be offensive?  It's not like you're kicking one of them out to have her.

    I think that if your other BMs get upset that is just a poor reflection on them.  It isn't like you are using this other friend as a replacement BM. You would just like to have your closesest friends up there with you and she is one of them.

    It's not like you're replacing any of your BMs with your friend, so I don't see a problem with it at all.

    I was in a wedding where the bride asked anoter girl to join us as part of the WP.  Only issue there was it was much closer to the wedding date and there was some difficulty getting the dress and in the end the dress was a slightly different color which didn't look good overall...  But you seem to have plenty of time - go for it and enjoy that you have reconnected with a friend!
