DJ's in Chicago

Hi all,

I'm getting married in October of this year and I still have lots to do!!!  I'm looking for a DJ to provide music for my garba, wedding, and reception. I love music and want to find someone who will be able to mix well without having gaps between tracks.  Does anyone know of someone who has experience in dj-ing but will not charge a fortune. I contacted a few but were in the 3k range. I think that is a bit much. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Welcome to the boards and congrats on your upcoming wedding!

    I don't have any suggestions for you since I am on the East Coast, but I did want to chime in to say that the quotes that you're getting in the 3k range are actually reasonable. Are they quoting you that price for just one even or for all (garba, wedding and reception) events?

    Wedding planning comes with a bit of sticker shock, so I don't blame you in thinking that the prices are high...
