Since yesterday was mother's day, let's make it a theme for today's post:
1. How is your mom involved in planning the wedding with you?
2. How is your MIL involved in the planning?
3. How are you involving them in the actual ceremony/reception?
4. Any mom drama to share/vent about/to make us laugh?
5. If your mom/MIL is no longer with you, are you planning to honour them somehow on your special day, and how?
6. Did you do anything special for your mom/MIL this year?
7. If you, yourself, are a mom, how was YOUR mother's day?

I'll post this on the Toronto Board as well!

    1. How is your mom involved in planning the wedding with you?
My mom hasn't been that involved.  She came to the menu tasting with me and my FI and she came with me when I went to pick up my wedding dress & to my first fitting.
    2. How is your MIL involved in the planning?
Again, not that involved.  She came with me when I went dress shopping once.

    3. How are you involving them in the actual ceremony/reception?
My mom and my MIL will both be doing a reading at our ceremony.
    4. Any mom drama to share/vent about/to make us laugh?
Not really!  There hasn't been much drama - I attribute that to them both leaving me to make my own decisions about the wedding!
    5. If your mom/MIL is no longer with you, are you planning to honour them somehow on your special day, and how?
      Not applicable.
    6. Did you do anything special for your mom/MIL this year?
      Not really.

    7. If you, yourself, are a mom, how was YOUR mother's day?
      Not applicable! (YET!)

    1. How is your mom involved in planning the wedding with you?
She lets me make all the decisions while giving her advice and insight.  She's a very wise lady and I value her opinions.

    2. How is your MIL involved in the planning?
Not much because she lives out of the country.  If not, I'm pretty certain she would have the same attitude my mom has.
    3. How are you involving them in the actual ceremony/reception?
I'm planning on doing a surprise mom dance.

    4. Any mom drama to share/vent about/to make us laugh?
Actually my mom had a momzilla moment.  We went to get her and my MOH's dresses and my mother dearest told my MOH that she couldn't get a certain dress because SHE was wearing a dress that color.  It was hilarious.
    5. If your mom/MIL is no longer with you, are you planning to honour them somehow on your special day, and how?
They both are, thank god.  I couldn't imagine that day without having my mom with me.

    6. Did you do anything special for your mom/MIL this year?
    Not really

    7. If you, yourself, are a mom, how was YOUR mother's day?
    Not a mom yet....by next mother's day I'm hoping to be a mommy-to-be.  We'll see.

    1. How is your mom involved in planning the wedding with you?
She's not, she doesn't even seem to care about my wedding.
    2. How is your MIL involved in the planning?
She just gives opinions when I ask for them.
    3. How are you involving them in the actual ceremony/reception?
    Haven't decided yet.
    4. Any mom drama to share/vent about/to make us laugh?
Nope, like I said, my mom doesn't even seem to crea, which kindda hurts since I'm her eldest and only daughter.
    5. If your mom/MIL is no longer with you, are you planning to honour them somehow on your special day, and how?
They're still alive and involved in Fi and my lives
    6. Did you do anything special for your mom/MIL this year?
Had them over for dinner and gave them the night off.

    1. How is your mom involved in planning the wedding with you? Oh quite involved!  She's really awesome.  She's good to bounce ideas off and just loves having the "mom" role I think.  She went dress shopping/sizing with me, MOB dress shopping with me and my sis, just, I don't know, what I would think as typical mom stuff.
    2. How is your MIL involved in the planning? She lives a couple hours away, but she asks how things are going.  Neither one of our moms are pushy, just want to be involved!
    3. How are you involving them in the actual ceremony/reception? Nothing, really.  They with our dads are doing "welcome to the family" speeches.  And FI and his mom are doing a parent dance with me and my dad.
    4. Any mom drama to share/vent about/to make us laugh? I don't think our mom's and drama ever happen in the same sentence :-)
    5. If your mom/MIL is no longer with you, are you planning to honour them somehow on your special day, and how? N/A
    6. Did you do anything special for your mom/MIL this year? We went for supper with my family and grandma, but we usually get together at Mother's Day.
    7. If you, yourself, are a mom, how was YOUR mother's day? Not yet!

    1. How is your mom involved in planning the wedding with you?Her hubby is paying to get a band, which they want more than the dj, she paid 1/2 my dress and that is it, i am SO lucky to be left to do the planning ourselves (though we are paying for almost all of it ourselves)2. How is your MIL involved in the planning? She is making our cake and making the salads for supper, she is a cake decorator and caterer so she will be a big help in determining how much food we need. She is also helping us prepare the luncheon for both the social and wedding.3. How are you involving them in the actual ceremony/reception?Other than prep help they will be guests, but will be escorted & named at the ceremony/reception.  They should enjoy our day and visit with their families.4. Any mom drama to share/vent about/to make us laugh? As i said our families are letting us do it ourselves, not one demand other than the band which i love.5. If your mom/MIL is no longer with you, are you planning to honour them somehow on your special day, and how?6. Did you do anything special for your mom/MIL this year?I bought them both expensive wall candle holders suiting their personalities, my mil loves her crosses and my mom hasn't got hers yet, she did not want me to mail it when she will be down in october. 7. If you, yourself, are a mom, how was YOUR mother's day?Uneventful, the hubs was working, my son and i made waffles together, then it was a normal day, other than i got flowers and a meal out.
