engagement photo attire help?

I just scheduled our engagement photo session for next week, and I'm really excited but suddenly also very nervous, The last time I had professional photos done was...high school. Help me out with some advice--what types of clothing styles, colors, make up, hairstyles, etc. look best in photos? Are there things I should avoid?

Take a casual and formal clothes with you. Alot of photographers including myself take pictures in both clothings that way you'll have some variety. If the shoot is not on the beach than avoid Black, Brown colors. Also avoid shorts. Ofcourse all rules can be broken and its all about having fun during your shoot. Good luck.

coordinate clothing as best as possible and add a splash of color, like a red tie and you can wear red bracelets and hair items. something to this effect. neutral colors work best for the outfits...dark greys, black, light grey, tan?

I did jeans and heels with a black top and a dress. The most important thing is that you are comfortable. Some girls will bring flip flops or something to walk around in between shots.

I did a simple black dress with heels, FI did jeans and a long sleeve collared shirt. Show your personality in what you wear and have fun!
