Tips for Engagement Shoot

Hi ladies,
My engagement shoot is this Saturday and I'm looking for all the advice I can get because I'm really camera shy.
I booked Hawaii Wedding Productions (www.hawaiiweddingproductions.com) for video/photo on my wedding day as well as my upcoming engagement shoot. I know they'll do a fabulous job because I love the way my girlfriend's pics came out. Already have a beautiful dress picked out and scheduled to get my hair/makeup done in the morning. But I'm already getting nervous just thinking about being in front of the camera!
Location is Oahu, Hawaii...
Please help! I'd love suggestions on how to pose, how to act natural, etc. I know the photographers can help me with this, but I feel like I need to practice!
Thanks,
Natasha

  • Hey Natasha!

Hawaii sounds like an amazin' location for a photo shoot! I have modeled for a few years and what I can tell you is to just relax, and have fun! Just let you and your future hubby's love shine!  those are always the best pics Laughing.  Too posey can come off a little corny and besides let those photographers do their job and guide you along the way! Good Luck and Congrats!

My shoot is Saturday as well and I am not camera shy but the thought of taking such important pics has me freaking out a bit also. As stated before just relax!! Let the love the two of you have for each other shine through and the pics will be gorgeous!!! Best of luck!!!

It's a little awkward at first, but just act like yourselves and joke around. This is where the best shots come from. One thing I wish I had paid more attention to was where I put my arms and the way I stood. There was a big difference in the photos we took in the beginning and the ones towards the end. You could tell we were much more relaxed.
