LA/Long Beach Area Venues

Hello Everyone! I'm newly engaged and looking for a affordable venue. We'rve narrowed it down to The Long Beach Museum of Art, Queen Mary, Aquarium of the Pacific and the Huron Substation. Has anyone had any experience with these venues? If you have, how affordable were they?

Thanks!

I don't know what your budget is but we looked into both the Aquarium of the Pacific and The Queen Mary and they were a bit out of our budget, but I've heard they do a beautiful job.

I know  the Queen Mary hosts a big bridal show in early Spring I think. I went this past year and they had a ton of great vendors. Maybe you can get some ideas for Long Beach venues then.

i just went in for a tour of the LBMA, it was BEAUTIFUL, if you are 101+ you will be outdoors, if you are 2-100 they can place you inside the anderson house.

for us, a quote for 85-100 people, came to 15k, not inclusive of cake.

fernando was very responsive and very passionate about the location and we really enjoyed ourselves.

I did an internship a long, long time ago at LBMA. I did a little work with their old event coordinator. It's a gorgeous location. It was fairly affordable, IMO. The only deal breaker for me, personally, was using their on-site caterer. It's not bad, they just didn't have a lot of the vegetarian options I was looking for. But I'd definitely recommend it.

I have been to a wedding on the Queen Mary and it was pretty good.  The LBMA is really stunning.  I don't know about  the others. Good Luck!

QM and Aquarium were too expensive for me.  Also, QM had much higher minimums than I could supply.

I think MOLAA in Long Beach is a very pretty venue.  I don't have anything else to add.  If do it locally, we are using the Madison.

I don't get married often, but when I do, I do it in Las Vegas.

My cousin got married at LBMA in April of 09.  It was a beautiful wedding and the food was good!

The Aquarium can be a BEAUTIFUL venue (my sister works events there) but I don't love their caterer. I've heard that the contact at the LBMA can be hard to get a hold of, but I don't know. I live near there and it is a beautiful site.

I also think that the Museum of Latin American Art is a great venue - and the caterer that does their food is my FAVE! (I used to work in events in Long Beach :))

    Good luck!!!
