maid of honor refuses to pay for my gown..help!!

My MOH had  asked me what she could get me as a wedding present, and I kindly suggested she pay for my wedding gown. I figured since she was already very wealthy, it wouldn't hurt to drop a few bucks for her best friend's big day. But she turned down my suggestion, leaving me furious! can someone please agree with me when I say that it isn't totally ridiculous for me to ask her to pay?! she is of course my maid of honor. 
   And since we aren't exactly speaking right now, how long should I wait before deciding whether or not to replace her? I'm very confused right now!!! :(
